Have your say

Your views are important to us, so make sure your voice is heard by telling us what you think.

The Community Engagement Strategy 2009 sets out our approach to community engagement. It highlights our commitment to improve our coordination of consultation and engagement activity. This is both within the Council and with our partners.

You can have your say about Council matters and issues in a number of ways. The links below will direct you to more information. This includes how to let us know your views about services and specific Council issues that we are currently consulting on.

We will be consulting on our business plan and draft budget from 15 November until 29 December 2017. Find out more about how you can have your say on our draft budget and our proposals for increasing Council tax by 4.99%, increasing charges for some services and reducing or stopping providing some services.

Read more information about where the Council's budget comes from, how we spend the budget and how we deliver value for money.

Our current consultations, with links to the surveys, will be listed below:

  • Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly's Core Healthy Weight Group would like your views on proposed ideas within the draft healthy weight strategy to increase the number of adults, children and families who are a healthy weight by 2022. Survey closes 12 noon on Monday 13 November

  • Share your views in the Launceston air quality survey. This survey runs from 16 October to 8 December. Tell us what  you think about:
    • air quality in Launceston
    • the plans for declaring an Air Quality Management Area
    • the proposed boundary of the Air Quality Management Area and
    • any measures to improve air quality you would like to see included in the action plan for the town

You can take part in our specific service consultations using the links in the section below.

We regularly undertake consultations and surveys on a wide variety of topics. You can view information about consultations that have closed on our previous consultations page.

The Council recently undertook a residents' survey, and also previously in 2014 and 2016: View the results of the Residents' Surveys.

Read about our budget setting process and how we asked for views on budget proposals. This is how we plan to deliver services with less budget, by doing things differently and making changes in how we work.
